Our Story
Dr. Brandon Hedgecock was running his dental practice in Austin, Texas. A family member who had sleep apnea, but wouldn't use their CPAP machine, asked Dr. H to make him an Oral Device as a last effort to control his sleep apnea. Not only did the device treat the sleep apnea, but the family member was able to get off several medications for blood pressure and diabetes. From there on out, Dr. H knew he wanted to help as many people as possible with Oral Device.
He and his business partner, Dr. Max Kerr would spend the next several years finding a way to bring this therapy to as many people as possible in the Austin area.
Once Dr. Hedgecock and Dr. Kerr had not only figured out how to do Oral Device therapy as well as anyone in the country, but also figured out a way to deliver it so folks could use their health insurance benefits reliably, they reached out to an old friend from dental school.
Dr. Kristian (K.C.) Dietz had been building his own dental practice right here in Bentonville, Arkansas. He also cared deeply for his patients and wanted to be able to help them and others in our community with their sleep disordered breathing.
After the pandemic had officially cleared, and folks started getting out again, the Docs together and opened up Refresh Dental inside of Dr. Deitz's dental practice. We opened up with one idea: help as many people as possible who feel like they don't have any options to stop feeling exhausted every day because they aren't sleeping correctly at night!
